Pick6, a new DraftKings fantasy sports game, is now live across six states with additional rollouts expected soon.
Pick6, the company’s new peer-to-peer fantasy sports variant, is based around a “more or less” mechanic for individual player statistics. DraftKings customers play against their peers and build lineups of two to six players from two or more teams, choosing more or less of a statistic for every athlete in their lineup.
Customers compete for a piece of a guaranteed prize pool for every Pick6 contest they enter.
Peer-to-Peer Differentiates Pick6 From Similar Fantasy Sports Products
Pick6 will be a standalone app from the DraftKings sportsbook and will likely be available wherever DraftKings offers its fantasy sports products, Corey Gottlieb, DraftKings Chief Product Officer, told Sports Betting Dime.

The new DraftKings fantasy product will allow customers to build lineups of two to six players from two or more teams, choosing more or less of a statistic for every athlete on their team. Each contest they enter will have estimated prize amounts based on how many picks they get correct in an entry.
DraftKings filed for the trademark Pick6 in early October.
Pick6 separates itself from other similar fantasy sports offerings by being a peer-to-peer service, Gottlieb said with customers playing against one another in a contest instead of against the house.
DraftKings has recently protested similar types of fantasy sports products from Betr, Underdog Fantasy, and PrizePicks, which they claim are more similar to sports betting than fantasy sports. These operators offer daily fantasy sports games that resemble parlay-style, over-under type offerings where customers decide whether a combination of athletes will go over or under a certain statistical line set by the house.
Unlike traditional fantasy, these games pit customers against the house and are not peer-to-peer contests. Underdog Fantasy did recently add a new peer-to-peer contest to its portfolio in November, but still offers its against the house games as well.
“This is a peer-to-peer product, it’s not against the house. At every touch point within this product, I have context with how I’m doing relative to other people in a contest. It has very transparent, upfront information about pricing and guaranteed prizes. I understand what I’m playing for at every step as I build out my lineup, and I have constant access to how I’m tracking relative to the prizes of the contest and other users,” he said.
The Pick6 “my picks” function will allow customers to monitor their submitted, live, and finalized picks. Lineup edits, addable funds, and real-time performance tracking are also part of the product interface.
Gottlieb also revealed that DraftKings’ Progressive Parlay sportsbook product would likely be launching sometime next week.
Progressive Parlays to Launch Next Week
DraftKings CEO Jason Robins introduced the new sportsbook feature during the company’s investor day presentation in early November. The progressive parlay feature will require users to make over/under picks for three to 12 legs and pit them against the house.
The parlays can win if a user misses one or more legs, but will pay out a lower rate.

Gottlieb stressed that the progressive parlay product is a part of the DraftKings Sportsbook and is regulated as sports betting.
“This is a sportsbook product, it’s against the house, and it lives inside of our sportsbook. It offers you the opportunity to build parlays that can win even if every leg doesn’t hit. You can build a seven leg parlay, and you can win money if only five of the seven legs still hit. It’s a different experience than Pick6 and it’s for customers who want to play against the house,” Gottlieb said.
